As I was searching for a title for this painting, my wife began singing the song from the final scene of the Mary Poppins movie. As Mary’s umbrella lifts her into the air, George Banks leads his children in song and kite flying. The song is, “Let’s Go Fly a Kite.” The title seems perfect! The painting does capture the energy and playfulness of kite flying.
